Permits (ILP/PAP): Zuluk & upper Silk Route require Protected Area Permits. Ashkim Tours handles this; carry multiple copies of Photo ID and passport-size photos.
Altitude Caution: Day 3 reaches 13,000 ft +. Risk of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). Avoid running or heavy activity. If dizzy or nauseous, descend immediately.
Road Conditions: Roads are narrow & bumpy in high altitude zones.
Accommodation & Food: Primarily basic homestays with clean rooms and simple, home-cooked local meals. Limited luxury options.
Best Season: April–June: Flowers & mild weather Oct–Dec: Clear skies & mountain views. Avoid monsoon (Jul–Sep) & snow closures (Jan–Feb).
